POPCAP GAMES COUPONS

  • Roadkill: Dead Raccoon, Death, Rebirth, End of Suffering
This time around I realized that the raccoon was free from suffering now. It's a shame its life had to end like that- it was blameless; humans built roads in the middle of his ancestor's forest. Progress and technology broke that raccoon's legs and took his life tonight. But now the suffering has ended for it. I mourned the raccoon and the way […]

I got Dragon NaturallySpeaking- now what?

Hello my friends at the DailySkew I just received an early Christmas gift from a relative of mine.  He gave me Dragon naturally speaking.  It is a voice to text program.  This is a very expensive piece of software.  In fact I always fantasized about having a piece of software like this.  I thank my relative and quickly installed the program on my Windows XP machine.

I am very pleased report that installation was very easy, and the training lesson was very intuitive, and I had no issues with the microphone.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking is a very sophisticated program.  In addition to voice recognition program it is built with a set of commands, and you can also set your own commands, and perform computer tasks such as writing and sending e-mails and even surfing the Internet.

One of the reasons why I had fantasized about this was because I blog a lot and write many articles on various websites.  Although I type very fast I always wanted to run time trials to determine if I can be more productive in certain circumstances by speaking into a microphone.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking is very, very expensive.  There’s no way I would ever purchased this on my own.

At this point all the functionality is 100% fantastic. I’m still skeptical if I will ever use the program on a daily basis for my Internet work.

I think there is a lot of potential with this program.  For example, I can use the program for brainstorming, monotonous posts that I have to get out of way, making lists, creating transcripts, and other stuff I probably haven’t thought about yet.

Definitely let me know how you think I could use this program to make things more productive for me.

Keep in mind- dictation is not the same as speaking casually in a crowded room or over the telephone where there’s a lot of noise and you’re laughing and you say a lot of fake words such as uhm and what have you.

I’ll tell you one thing though I wish I won the lottery because I would love to transcribe some great comic books into text complete with not only the dialogue of the superheroes and super villains, but also the editor caption boxes in addition to my own descriptions of the art panels.  However at this stage in my life I don’t see how they’ll be profitable.

I can see how creating reviews by speaking into the microphone could be profitable for Internet marketing- fully compliant with FTC regulations of course.

Well that’s it but this is my first attempt at using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.  In terms of editing this text file I just created the only thing I had to fix was putting some dashes in instead of comments only because I did not take a look at the command list yet showing how to do that. I also didn’t waste time editing caps or commas in certain places because this is just a casual post.
